How to Look Like a Sexy Dinosaur: Vampire Diaries Hair--Rebekah Mikaelson

Hi everyone! So as promised, finally a post before the video goes live. Yay me! (Haha for any London Tipton fans out there). This is an inspired hair style from the Vampire Diaries episode: Dangerous Liaisons. Rebekah Mikaelson had her hair in an exquisite, perfectly polished down-do that was pulled back and elegant. It is actually a ponytail hidden behind a section of hair. In the episode I'm inclined to think there were some hair pieces involved because she managed to have a lot of additional length and her pony was incredibly voluminous, it looked AH-MAZING. I will also link this to my YouTube tutorial once it has gone live. In the mean time, I have some pictures of the inspired look below. And since I don't know the rights to any of the pictures I am posting, I am not able to show them in my YouTube video, luckily I am able to show them here! :)

As you can clearly see here she appears to have a LOT of hair which makes me think there may have been a hair piece attached as well.

A url is a webpage address :) So if you had a blog or a link that you were posting from it would show where you were posting from! :)

  5. Hi, I really like your videos, I think they are really informative and user friendly. I was just wondering what shampoo and conditioner you use as your hair is always so shiny and healthy looking and how long is your current hair length and how long did it take for you to grow it from midback? as I am having lots of trouble growing mine out :( any advice would be much appreciated, especially since my hair keeps shedding loads!
    keep smiling XD

    1. Awww thank you so much, I'm glad you find them user friendly and helpful! I don't use conditioner actually because the shampoo I use is super gentle, I use the Brazilian Blowout Antifrizz Acai Shampoo because it's sulfate free and doesn't dry out my hair which is textured and gets damaged and dry easily. My hair is 33" from crown to tip :) For a "conditioner" I use Moroccan Oil to treat my ends and it absorbs so well and helps me manage my hair better. Once you start growing from mid back or longer it does take a little bit longer to continue to grow because the ends have to be in pretty good shape and that's difficult because they are several years old. If you keep the ends in good condition your hair will seem like it's growing longer. I shed a lot as well, it's natural in most cases! :)

    2. Also from mid back it took about 2 years, the first bit grew out a lot quicker. Like in a year I was past the end of my bra after growing out from jaw length.

    3. Thanks for the superquick reply :)
33 inches, wow that's so long, I can only ever dream about getting that length :( I feel like it's going to take foreveeeeer to grow it out I guess I'm just stuck at that painful stage where I've been growing it out for ages and not seeing it grow super-fast is kinda disheartening ah well, I guess all I can do is be patient, by the way did you trim your hair a lot during that period?

    4. I actually only trim my hair a couple times a year, instead I try to keep my ends in good shape. I had a devastating hair cut in April and have been growing it out since so my ends are pretty rough at the moment but I had soooo much taken off. Keep with it, either way your hair will stay long or get longer :) I would only trim a quarter of an inch at most if you're getting a trim. Ask for a dusting, only and I would suggest only trimming when you need to.

  6. I probably only get a trim twice a year. All my cuts are usually trims.
